My All Time Favorite Children's Book.....

I have always enjoyed books by Dr. Seuss, but Green Eggs and Ham has always been my favorite. I enjoy the rhyming words, the persistance, then at the end the willingness to try something new and actually LIKING it. The illustrations in this book are well done, and there are many activities that can be done along with this book to encourage literacy and a love for books.

I also love this book! This was one of my favorite time of the year while teaching also. I loved reading these book and the kids looked forward to the green eggs and ham breakfast. My own children had green eggs this past year! They loved it!

I also love this book! Dr. Seuss week was one of my favorite weeks while teaching. These books are great at teaching new words. My students loved the rhyming books and the green eggs breakfast! My own kids actually loved the green eggs that I made them this past year!

I love this book! My kids enjoyed making green eggs and hams for Dr. Seuss birthday this year. Dr. Seuss books help my kids with their reading so much because of the rhyming, illustration, and repetition.

My Mother Debbie:

I was raised by my mother. She was a single parent, and I was, and still am her only child. Everything that she did was for me. When i was young she worked so that she could provide for me. I remember on her days off she always planned something for her and I to do together. It was never anything spectacular or overly expensive, but it was quality time that was devoted to me. As an older child we had our disagreements, but she always made sure to plan time for just me and her so that i would know how special I was to her. Because of all that she did I am the woman, and mother that I am today.

My Babysitter Tina:

Tina was the teenage girl that cared for me a-lot while i was young. From the age 3 to about 8 or so. She used to always do things with me like take me for walks, take me swimming, do my hair and make-up, and turn up the music really loud when my mom wasn't home and we would dance around the living room. We always had a-lot of fun together and she made me feel important.

My Uncle Roy:

My Uncle Roy was my mother's brother. She got injured at work when i was around 4 year's old. During this time he took me into his house and took care of me. He treated me well, took good care of me, and helped me to understand that my mom would be ok. I am still to this day closer to him than i am any other part of my biological family.

My Grandma Shirley:

My Grandma Shirley is my mother's mother. She was always there for me and my mom whenever we needed something. During the years that my mom and I were having trouble getting along she always showed us how to compromise, and resolve the situation. She has been a great role model, and shows that she cares about me by being a very strong support system.
